On Wednesday, UN Secretary-General António Guterres will visit St. Petersburg, where he will take part in the International Economic Forum on Thursday. The program of the visit of the head of the UN to Russia also includes a meeting with President Vladimir Putin.
In St. Petersburg, the head of the UN will hold a series of talks with leaders of states and governments who will arrive in the city on the Neva to participate in the Forum. The theme of this year’s International Economic Forum is the promotion of sustainable development.
The UN Information Center in Russia organizes a stand dedicated to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals for the period up to 2030, which are essentially the agenda of humanity for the period up to 2030. The seventeen goals relate to poverty eradication, health, gender equality, combating climate change, stimulating economic growth and creating jobs, improving access to modern energy, expanding water and sanitation services, and protecting the environment.
