April 26, Minsk, the UN Office in Belarus and the Ministry of Foreign Affairs organized a conference "Global Consultations on Post–2015 development agenda — Belarus". The participants of the conference discussed the preliminary results of the national consultations on elaboration of the new development agenda for the post–2015 for Belarus. While opening the conference the UN representative to Belarus Sanaka Samarasinha noted that the consultation process is a unique one, as it "engages and provides an opportunity to speak and to be heard to those, whose opinions are not always taken into account in global decision–making."

The conference was attended by representatives of government agencies, the business sector, academia, trade unions, civil society and international organizations.

As part of the national consultations an extensive discussion is held on the development agenda "Post–2015" through creation of analytical framework, collection of suggestions and ideas. These consultations took place before April 15, 2013. By June 2013, the results of all the country consultations will be submitted to the United Nations Development Group (UNDG).

15 focus groups are to be organized in Belarus to cover different segments of population by age, social and other criteria.

Global survey "My World" is conducted parallel to the national consultations. Participants are asked to choose six out of the sixteen issues that are most relevant to them. One can take part in the survey at http://www.myworld2015.org. As of today, there is also a Belarusian language webpage http://www.myworld2015.org/?lang=bl. 2176 respondents from Belarus participated in the survey as of April 26, 2013.

The national consultations program also included workshops held in 10 cities for the representatives of children's councils/parliaments.
