23rd International Children’s Painting Competition

The International Children’s Painting Competition on the Environment is organized every year by the United Nations Environment Programme (UNEP), the Japan-based Foundation for Global Peace and Environment (FGPE), Bayer and Nikon Corporation. It has been held since 1991 and has received more than 3 million entries from children in over 150 countries.

THEME: FOOD WASTE

Subthemes: Save the Planet—Save Food, Wasting Food is Wasting the Planet

ENTRY RULES AND CONDITIONS:

1. AGE GROUP: Children between the age of 6 and 14 years.

2. SIZE OF PAINTING: Paintings must be done on A4 OR A3 papers.

3. NAMES AND CONTACTS (IN ENGLISH LANGUAGE ONLY)
Full name, age (day, month, and year), gender and full address including phone and e-mail (in English) must be on the back of the painting, NOT on the painting.

4. STYLE OF PAINTING

Free: crayons, coloured pencils, water-colours, etc.

5. ELIGIBILITY

a) Paintings that have been shown or accepted elsewhere will not be accepted in this competition.
b) Paintings that show a particular person, an organization or a brand name will not be accepted.
c) Paintings should be received before 15 March 2014.
d) Painting/s should be posted or sent by courier service before the deadline of 15 March 2014.
e) Contacts (names, telephone, email etc) should be in English language and not another language. These contacts should be written on the back of the painting.
f) No writing, descriptions, contacts should be written on the painting itself.

6. TYPE OF PAINTING ACCEPTABLE

Only hard copies of paintings will be accepted, with no words or descriptions on the painting/s.

7. NUMBER OF PAINTINGS ACCEPTED

Participants can submit as many paintings as they like.
