Water is essential to humans, it is definitely an aesthetic, cultural and spiritual value. Water is a source of inspiration and a vital element of physical existence at the same time. In the works of the project participants, image of water is reflected in all its diversity, as well as the global issue of access for all people to water is raised. Certainly, in Belarus water is not a pressing issue as in many other countries. About 1 billion people worldwide do not have access to clean drinking water and 2.6 billion and not have access to basic sanitation. Water–related diseases claim more lives than all forms of violence, including wars. According to UN records, by 2025 two–thirds of the world's population may face water shortages. This situation is a challenge to whole humanity and it undermines the development efforts.

Belarusian artists have supported the UN initiative and contributed to raising public awareness about the water cooperation issue, having created a space for the development of new ideas necessary to address this important problem.

Well–known and young Belarusian artists, photographers and designers participate in the project. The exhibition presents the following art forms: paintings, drawings, computer graphics, photography, art objects and installations.

The exhibition will be running from November 29 to December 14, 2013.
